Hi

I was wondering if it is possible to remove the hardware of a Dell computer (8200 model, P4, 2.4 Ghz) and move it into a new case...maybe something like a Xoxide Acrylic case or a Antec Super Lanboy. Thanks guys.

I have no personal experience with Dell, but, you should be able to move everything from one box to another. The only thing I'd question is the mobo. I think Dell uses proprietary mobo's that may have a different mounting pattern - the holes may not line up right. I'm sure a Dell expert will be along shortly to clarify.

As far as drives and cards...I can't imagine those not transferring seemlessly to another box.

Dell machines are crappy. Firstly they come with a tiny PSU, secondly they are difficult to mount in other cases. And plus you end up shelling out exhorbitant amounts just for that 'dell'.

they aren't made to fit atx, but you might be able to depending on how lenient the mobo and psu mouning options are. i'd just cut a window in the side of the dell. not many people have modded dells and it could be kinda cool
