Is this picture CGI?

I think the picture is blurred a little or something. To me it still looks like something out of a game demo. I spend plenty of time outside, in grassland and savanna, kthx.

The fur is so obviously fake and the lighting is nowhere near what it would be in real life. Not to mention the dynamic range of the photo is eerily high.

Here's a real-life fallow deer picture: http://www.oxygene.demon.co.uk/gallery/2003-07-27-deer.jpg

You people are fscking INSANE. You need to step the fsck outside every once in a while.

That is a real picture.

And how do you know? You are just guesing like the rest of us are.
Because there is nothing in that pic that looks CGI.

Show me a CGI that looks like that. They don't exist..... yet....

Obviously a real picture. The focus is excellent in bot the foreground and background thanks to a very small aperture. If you think this is fake you need to get outside a bit more.

It's hard to tell...
That's honestly pretty good. At first glance I would probably mistake that for being real.

But it's still pretty easy to tell that it is CGI. The wood doesen't look real at all.

How about these? http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?t=233460 I think the ones made to look like fake photos with an obvious flash are very convincing.

Those are stunning. I don't believe they're fake. 😉

Don't you think the fur on the animal and lighting in the OP pic is odd? The glow in the lighting on the grass? It's just weird. Look at the other pictures on that same wildlife page. They're crappy in comparison. 😛

Yeah, wow.. those are pretty good.

It gets much easier as the complexityof the scene decreases though.

IE: Much harder to fake outdoor pics. Hence why they're so easy to distinguish.
