Is this partition setup good?

I am going to setup a dual boot of WinXP Pro (20 GB NTFS) and Mandrake 8.1 (10 GB ext2) . I want to have an 8GB FAT32 partition for data, I can use it w/ both OSes. Any advice or additions? Will this be a safe and uncorrupt system?

Um, no... He has no need for a logical partition, not that they're any different anyway. A drive can hold 4 primary partitions without the need for an extended/logical partition. He only needs three, so they can all be primary. Again, it really makes no difference functionally, but we should try to keep our terms straight.

Well You can only see one primary partition at a time, so that sort of makes it hard to save data there. Also, having two primary partitions can cause loss of data.
