Is this one ok?

Hey Guys, I am not a gamer and I am also in a budget. I plan on upgrading in the near future. For everyday computing, is the Intel Pentium G3258 Haswell Dual-Core 3.2GHz LGA 1150 a good cpu? or should I lean for at least an i3?

Thanks
🙂

No point buying now and upgrading later. Get the very best you can afford and stick with it. I wouldn't drop lower than an i3 minimum for any decent non-gaming system.

Easier to get an i3 and be done with it, especially if you're not gaming. Overclocking can be difficult for the average novice.

This question has been discussed before, [thread=2419041]at length[/thread].

Edit: Also, I'd say that if it's a choice between an i3 and at least a minimal SSD, get the SSD.
