I recently bought a new processor, (AMD barton 2500), but when i put it in, BIOS recognized it as a 3200+. I've flashed the system, and it still comes up as 3200+ or user define. SHould I clock it to the 2500+ speeds, or leave it as 3200? My motherboard is an abitnf7-s rev 2.0

sounds to me like you have the multiplier set too high, but if its stable i'd leave it the way it is.

I agree you probably have the multiplier up to high, but if it is stable which most of them run stable at that speed then thats better for you.

Just test it one night using 3dmark03, aquamark, prime95, etc. If it reboots, freezes or anthing else then worry about it.
