You've been targeted by fraud.

Send a box full of ping pong balls or better yet, bricks or maybe an evenlope full of a white powdery substance(Baking soda.)

Looks like a scam. If it's real, I think you'd be able to log in to your Paypal account and verify that it is real. Paypal knows that people spoof their e-mails all the time, I don't think e-mail would be the only way they'd communicate something like that.

And as far as I know, Paypal is not an escrow service.

Why bother, it's a scam point blank. Do not ship your item.

I've ran into this exact crap before. I never lost any money but I know it's a scam.
When I stated in my auctions no non-US accounts, and then the winner asks for shipping to Nigeria. It is fraud.

never ever respond/click to emails , if you get an email from "paypal", close your email, then open a new browser and go to the web site of "paypal" and logon and see if they have any messages or things for you

Where does he want the package sent to?
If it's Nigeria or some other dirty 3rd world nation with no laws, send a box with white powder in it(Just baking soda)

I would not recommend doing that to someone in the US.

"We look forward in serving your online payment."

The most reliable method of detecting a scam is to look for spelling and grammatical errors. A company as large as PayPal will not make such mistakes.
