I am relatively new to Netflix. I put Quantum of Solace into my queue on the day it was releases, March 24, and it has shown Long Wait ever since. That's two months. Is this what I can expect for popular movies?

Can't get an American to sign up for you, if you want the streaming service only?

I just added it to my queue and it the expected availability is Now. Maybe try to re-add it?

Yeah, its been at the top since the day I put it in, March 24.

Two tips:
1) Put new release movies in your queue no later than Sunday and have any movies you sent back to the Netflix processing center arrive no later than Monday morning.
2) Only have the disks you want in your queue. If you have a bunch of older movies or documentaries sitting in your queue with an availability of 'Now', those will get shipped before any movies with any kind of wait status.

Yeah, I learned that previously in this forum, maybe from you, and it works great. I have gotten almost every new dvd on the day it was released.
I called Netflix and they say they seriously underestimated demand for Quantum so the Long Wait is not an error.

the estimated wait is dependent on your area, as there are a bunch of netflix distribution centers.

if you remove everything else from the queue, your high demand movie will ship to you, sometimes from a different distribution center

Welcome to the world of Netflix! Sometimes they surprise you and give you a cracked disc too!

TBH I was under the impression I would get the same sort of error I get from Hulu RE my Ip location.

In the past when I have a long wait movie they shipped me my 3 movies from the rest of my que and then sent the long wait movie from another center. It showed up 2 or 3 days later at most. I ended up with 4 movies at a time because of it.

Ive got no help for your situation though sorry.
