is this normal? (CPU spike problem)

I recently got rhapsody, and i love it. The only thing is that, rhapsody skips/crackels whenever i click on a link, or press the back and forward buttons in Mozilla firefox v2.

This practically makes it unusable for me.

So, i've attached a pic of my taskmanager, so maybe my CPu is at fault and not rhapsody. Can anyone tell me if this is normal? All i'm doing here is letting rhapsody play a song, and watching the task manager. Why is the CPU in red?

Forgot to mention that I have Hi speed cable internet (road runner). So, its not the internet. Infact, the stream is smooth if i dont mess with firefox.

This red secondary graph line merely reflects the CPU activity dedicated to the Windows NT Server operating system in Kernel mode. The difference between the green and red CPU utilization chart lines would reflect the CPU activity dedicated to User mode activities such as applications.

Saw that on a site, explains why its red.

Thanks! So, is there a way i can make rhapsody play properly when browsing? I changed the file paging system from custom to "Set by windows" and now its a LOT better. Still, ther's the occasional glitch now and then. Would love to get rid of that as well.

Its a sound card issue......ipdate your drivers and if your using onbaord sound see if theres an update if not give Rhapsody a call..

My sound card is a very good one actually. Its an Emu 0404 card meant for music production. Its updated to the latest drivers.

one thing though : Windows media player plays PERFECTLY fine.Infact, i run windows media player while playing counter strike 1.6 and it still doesnt affect anything!
