Ok, I took off my HSF today and noticed something odd. The bottom of the HSF had some lettering on the bottom (from the core) and had the length of the outlined the die marked on it.

I put enough AS2 to cover the entire core, and the processor isnt burned or anything. IS this normal ?? Is it just from normal heat being transferred from the Die to the HSF.

Im thinking it must be normal cuz the markings were on two seperate HSF that I had put on (Volcano 2 and FOP32). BUT, I never had my computer on for more than 5 minutes (No OS yet), so maybe it hasnt had enough time to burn the core.

Anyway, Im really just curious. Thanks for any input.

That is way too much paste, isnt it ??? Looks like a pretty shotty job to me
