Is this normal backlight bleeding for an LG IPS 27EA33 monitor?

Hey all, I just got a new LG IPS LED monitor, which is my first IPS. The image quality is great, the colors are way nicer than on my old TN, however there is what to me is a significant backlight bleding issue coming from the bottom left corner. It's pretty noticeable in dark areas in games (playing Metro Last Light on this thing is like having a desk lemp pointed at the monitor at times).

I took a really poor photo with my phone since I can't get any of the camera settings to show the effect as it really looks in darkness, but it's pretty much like this only even more noticeable in reality. Playing around with the settings doesn't help at all. It only goes away if I'm looking at the screen at a certain angle.

So is this a normal thing for IPS monitors, and should this kind of thing be under warranty or should I just get used to it?

IPS monitors suffer from 'IPS glow'.. YouTube-it and you'll find some videos about it.

From a almost front-standing position your monitor have to much ligh in that corner, maybe it's light bleeding indeed in your case.
You should RMA your monitor, it's not normal I think.

Is the lighting on the right part of the bleed? That isn't normal but the general grey background in the bottom left corner and top right is completely normal.

The right side is perfectly fine, the bleed is the at the bottom left corner and is noticeable enough to be distracting. Way I see it there shouldn't be a noticeable difference between corners, but I may be wrong since I never had an IPS screen before this one.

Every monitor I have owned has had an amount of backlight bleed to an extent. My current Benq XL2411T has a definite increase in colour on a black image all around the edge, my Dell 2410 has a definite glow in the corners and more so in the top right. LCD monitors of all types have poor uniformity on dark images, and many of them have poor uniformity in general.

I have this same monitor and can confirm the bottom left corner is a bit washed out in comparison to the others. I had actually noticed this a few weeks back. However, I cannot say that I have really noticed it having any effect while gaming. But I haven't played any games that are quite as dark as Metro though. It's my first IPS panel also, and I'm enjoying quite a bit. The colors look much more vibrant in comparison to my previous 1080p LCD.
