Is this normal ATI/AMD CCC behavior?

I have an LG 27" panel with a native resolution of 1920 x1080. However, with my 5970 with latest drivers/CAP profile under Win Vista 64 bit, the highest resolution under "basic" resolutions is 1680 x 1050. !920 x 1080 is only available under "HDTV" resolution as "1080p"...is this normal?,..why isn't 1920 x 1080 available under "basic" resolutions?

The reason I ask is that I think (working theory anyways) that under dx10 with an in-game resolution of 1920 x 1080, this might be causing frame rate problems (e.g. Crysis under DX10).

Yes it's normal. 1080p is a standard 16:9 HDTV resolution, so CCC sorts it into TV resolutions (along with 720p and 480p). It shouldn't cause any performance issues.

Thanks, appreciate the clarification...just wasn't sure if that was causing an issue with Crysis 1 as it has always been unplayable for me on 5970 crossfire. I have been trying to trouble shoot this for about 1.5 years. I heard of a possible bug with Crysis 1 under dx10 and HDTV's @ 1080p, so I was wondering if perhaps this issue might be affecting me as CCC was only showing "1080p" under HDTV resolution and not under the list of "Basic" resolutions as 1920 x 1080.

I give up on these 5970's...have been eyeing a pair of Gigabyte super OC GTX 580's for SLI. I know it may be bit of a side-grade, but I think that's where I am heading.
