There is a website that a friend just sent me a link to which has a segment of a Fox news report... and I can't believe the rubbish I just heard when I saw it.
It's about an inquiry into the validity of evidence given supporting arguments for the war in Iraq, however in this report it seems that the host has either been given completely the wrong information or has just decided to come up with his own story.
This is the website that has the video clip on. Try not to take offence about how it presents the information and just watch the report (quicktime needed). The link at the bottom just leads to a less than impressed news item about this.
But is this news report for real. I mean, is this guy serious or does most of america regard him as a nut anyway?
Also, for those who don't know what the actual cause of all this is:
During the run up to the Iraq war and the war itself, there was some disagreement in the media over some of the claims made by the government as to the danger of Iraq. A reporter (a BBC one) had gotten information which was contradictory to the governments claims. After a while the source was leaked and the guy eventually killed himself.
An inquiry was launched into his death and basically has criticised the BBC for going out with the story and for not checking its sources properly, etc.
However it must be made clear, it has nothing to do with any 'anti-american' reporting or comments..... this is just basically about the accuracy of a report due to bad reporting by to be honest a bad reporter to deserved to get fired.
More info on this can be found here
I leave it to you to compare the video clip with the news as reported by.... well just about everyone else.
