Is this Mustang an automatic?

No, I don't think so because you can hear it bouncing off the rev limiter when he does the initial burnout. If it were an auto I think it would shift, but ask NFS4, he'd know.
 
Don't think so - there's one audible upshift in the second bit of the clip, and I think he's downshifting while braking at the end.

Because just about any car with a healthy amount of displacement will consistenly run quicker times at a drag strip.

He could also have a stall converter.

Its a stick. You can tell by the deceleration sound it makes after the burnout / acceleration sequence in the first part of the clip.
