better HDD

Dont skimp on the PSU, it is the power behind everything, I would get something better. Something like this.

Hmm I've been told the BeQuiet psu is quite a good one.. what are the benefits of the one you linked over it?
Anomly which one do you have?

I cant find the specs on the BeQuite one but i KNOW the XFX one which has one +12v rail rated for 52A or 624w Im not really sure about the one you picked but i have used XFX and i trust them more. ;) AND it's modular!

Okay i found a dutch site that had the specifications and it claims two +12v rails at 22A but with a combined Amperage not to exceed 35A (quite a bit lower then 52A on the XFX)

I know the guys on overclockers like that BeQuiet psu but I don't know what its based on because I haven't been able to find any reviews of it, its cheap and it only comes with a 2 year warranty. If it were me I would go with the XFX hands down.

thank you I will get that

I am guessing the rest of the spec is fine to be able to play those games on max detail right?

one thing I was unsure of was whether to go for the 5850, 6850 or the 5870

That 5850 is a great deal for £114.99 and faster than the more expensive 6850. The 5870 at 149.99 is a good deal too. I would go with the 5850 and overclock it personally.

I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned the OCZ DDR3 yet, so I will. It's crap, stay away. There is a reason that OCZ quit the DRAM market altogether. I'd get the G.Skill Ripjaws instead.

Also, while the 5850 would be fine for the games that you specifically listed, it is fairly weak given your total budget. I'd say to get the 5870, dropping the Hyper 212+ to help get there.

Most cards will do it, but the question is how high of FPS are you looking for? I'll assume you want the best FPS you can get. Well, if you can get a 6950, you can unlock it to a 6970 .... didn't read entire thread so this may have been suggested already.
