Is this legit?

Edison invented the motion picture camera in 1888.

I remember my history in perspective college class teacher telling us a story about the history of film. I think he said something that it was invented at the same time as some french people or something. That the first showing of film was a horse race in downtown france. Same thing with the Television. The TV was invented by some brainchild and then some guy in europe and I think there might have been a third guy but they gave all credit to the brainchild.

Meh. A lot of physicists were on the same track as Einstein, and if they had been married to smart people themselves to relay ideas to, they probably would have "discovered" relativity as well.

There is no motion picture camera without film to record the pictures on.

Did you think this was recorded to video? Why? You can clearly see the obvious film damage.

BTW, video tape wasn't invented until 1951 LONG after the motion picture camera and film.
