they deleted the correct order total link which had my clie for $55 and changed it to $428. they tried to charge my credit card for that amount. is that legal?
what did they charge you for? STAPLES business practice is unbelievable. the rep threatened to end the chat converstation on me. wtf? now she is mute. i dont see how it can be legal for them to charge me two different totals.
I suppose I should have realized something was amiss when the laptops were priced at $3.95 each. Still, though, that's what my order said. Should I sue them?
Staples has a lot of disclaimers basically saying that your total is there for convenience and by placing the order, you are allowing them to charge you whatever the hell they want. So yeah, be carefu. I've stopped ordering from them a loong time ago because of this sh*t.

All bow down to the master. Russ, for when you need to smarten up just to know you've been dissed!
i think they are allowed to change it. when you check out it says that that total is an estimate and it canbe changed due to errors and stuff . i mean really you are the one who tried to order a $55 sony clie after all, did you really think you could get it for $55
oh yeah, and I suppose that if you were selling a geforce 3 card in FS/FT, and you were adding up shipping to the total price, and the total on the calculator came out to $3.49, you'd sell it for $3.49 and not say "hmm, that's not right".... Yeah, sure.
the clie is supposed to be $399, but i used a $344 coupon that i was given. they just deleted the coupon that i used and charged me for the full price.
