Is this just/right?

I had a bad expierence ordering online from svc.com. I just wrote this e-mail that I want to send to them, but I wanted to see what you guys thought first. Is this fair? I think my e-mail explains pretty well what happened, and I don't really want to retype everything, so I'll copy/paste (one of my favorite things in the world). Here's the e-mail (sorry if it's confusing):

I'll take 3 of the SVC 12" UV/Black Cold Cathode Light w/Dual Inverter (CCFL3-BLK) that are on sale for $7.99 to replace those $7.99 purple ones. However, I also think that something should be done for the trouble that I have gone through. Perhaps a free item of some sort or free next air shipping or maybe both. I mean I followed to protocol what the instructions said on the site. I had to wait an extra day to be sure that the credit card company would take the alternate address. I also made sure to put the credit card's phone number on the original order. The order went through on monday. I found out that my order had been placed on hold on tuesday, so I sent an e-mail explaining the situation, including the phone number to my credit card company. I then waited a day in order to give time for a delayed response. I did not recieve a response. Next, I decided to call svc using the telephone number given on the original e-mail confirmation of the order placed. After several rings I got an answering machine that told me to e-mail the same place that I had already e-mailed, which is exactly what I did yesterday (thursday). Finally, I recieved the a response today on friday, to an order that had been placed on monday! You would think that one of the first things a company would do is contact the person somehow more than a generic auto-response e-mail! I do not want to have a bad expierence with svc, I like the site, and the prices are great, but if I'm going to have this sort of hassle every single time I try to place an order, I'll pay more to a different company to ensure getting my product in an orderly fashion (and probably all the products I originally order now that one of the products I ordered ran out of stock because of a delay). When you're on a time restraint of warranty on other products like I am currently then you expect orders to go through if you have followed the instructions perfectly. If I am truly a "valued customer" and expects me to purchase from them every again then I feel that svc needs to persuade me by making up for the hassle I had to put up with this order. Thanks!

P.S. ananders sorry if this isn't the best place to post this. I don't usually post/read in the off topic forum. Thanks for your input!

If they didn't charge your credit card, I don't think you have much room to stand on. Some companies will flat out refuse to ship to an address other than what is listed with your credit card. Dell took 4 days to prcoess my last order, and I don't think calling them and asking for next day air would do anything. Especially with a $24 order. If they billed your credit card, and u didnt receive the correct product, then you have somethign to bitch to them about.

Take out the word "perhaps."

If you are a dissatisfied customer, tell them exactly what they need to do to make you a satisifed customer.

Or simply write them with a, "thanks but no thanks. Your poor customer service has caused me to purchase my merchandise from another vendor."

I know, I'm always too nice when it comes to complaining. Oh and guess what! I didn't get an e-mail back today. Nice customer service from a well used company eh?

Cliff notes? You're style of writing sucks, you're not clear and to the point. Stop meandering in your writing.

I complained before. I made their business feel like sh!t. It was concerning a pickup too. Personally, I wouldn't ask for anything. If a business doesn't do what they're supposed to do to make a customer happy, then I just go to another place.

Not sure if this'll work, but if you want free stuff, tell them you'll be sure to give them negative feedback on reseller ratings, and you'll never order from them again. They care about reseller ratings a lot.

is it just? they aren't breaking any laws

What I was meaning by asking if it was just/right was in my asking for free next day air or free items, not in their service. Sorry that my "style of writing sucks" but that's the way I write and the way I'm going too...... Btw, I still have not recieved a reply from svc.

Try writing it using sentence structure, paragraphs, etc. Also, state what you want and stand by it. I think if you were ordering a large order you would have half a shot at getting a freebie or something, but honestly the delay for orders that get shipped to a different address than what's on the card is a good thing, and you shouldn't complain.. that is unless you like the idea of widespread credit card fraud.

All this over computer rice too? I could see if this was a processor or some ram or something absolutely needed for your computer to work, but for rice? cmon man.

So I finally got sent the order today. Man, that took forever. I did get free shipping, so I won't be doing any complaining. I was buying a couple of heatsinks and fans and stuff, and couldn't setup my mobo/cpu's without some sort of cooling. The order was for $142, so I think that's why I got free shipping. It worked!
