Is this Intel NIC any good?

The ISA version of the Express Pro caused random reboots on my machine, I tried two different cards in different slots. I could have tried to adjust interrupts, i/o, etc...but with PCI nic's at $15, the Linksys seemed the right choice.

Anyone want a couple ISA Intel Nic's paypal $5.00 for priority shipping and I will stick them in a mailer and get them to you! I can't guarantee against DOA as I could not get them working, though they were working when pulled about three years ago.

Thanks

Chris

Intel PCI nics are as good as you can get.

Linksys are so so. My roommate has some and they benchmark below the Intel.

Do you guys use those "secure" nics. Or the really high end $300+ ones?

What are the advantage of those over your average nic?
