pretty much. Not sure I know any other beloved patriot fans that actually like(d) Shanahan, anyway. Would be news to me.
However, I do think he mishandled him in the wildcard game last year, as well as his return this year. ....assuming he was making those decisions. He would have to be, right? Snyder is horrible, but he doesn't have the control over the team like Jerry Jones.
Honestly, I don't think they are that bad off, regarding personnel on the field. If RG3 gets back to his level of health last year, and with Alfred Morris being as good as he is, Garcon and Reed emerging as solid dependable targets, they really only need to plug in a good vet O Lineman on offense.
Defense is a problem, obviously, but a few smart moves (LOL! Redskins? smart moves?
), they could plug one or two of the many holes in their secondary. All in all, I honestly think their main problem this year is coaching. There is plenty of talent on the field--they just don't play to it. If the locker room really has been the drama that reports are showing, this could explain a lot. Considering how screwed they are draft and cap-wise for the next couple of years, coaching is the only real way to address these problems.
