I have a Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3R board and 5 hard drives. I am running XP 64.
1 hard drive is a WD 150GB Raptor for my program fiels, 1 WD74GB Raptor for a scratch disk for Photoshop, and 3 - Samsung 500 GB for a Raid 5 setup. At least that is how I want to set it up. Plus I have 2 - SATA CD/DVD Burners.
The CD/DVD burners are in the Gigabyte SATA ports. The five hard drives are in the ICHR9 ports.
When I enable the Raid, it starts to load Windows and just reboots. and goes into that cycle. If I disable the Raid it loads Windows fine.
I was wondering if I am needing to get IDE CD/DVD burners and put them on IDE and put my WD Raptor drives on the GIgabyte SATA ports and the 3 Samsung drives on the ICHR9 ports?
Any thoughts?
