Is this guy a total n00b?

So we're having this conversation, it's this friend of mine and I, and he always tries to make it some conversation about how he knows more than me about everything, but he doesn't. So it's onto technology, specifically dual processors and he knows jacksh1t about it, and then he says this:

********: i heard word of Apple laying down large sums of money
********: helping out AMD
********: mainly because the new G5's are sportin dual 64's

So then I ask him what he means by dual 64s, because I had already gone over how there isn't full technology for two physical cpus yet, and he goes away. I'll let that drop for now, but what I really want to know is, wtf is he talking about with the Apple thing?

He's an idiot.
And what the hell are you talking about "there isn't full technology for two physical CPUs yet"? 1982 much?

I read in CPU two months ago that they hadn't gotten it to work with two physical processors I thought. Maybe I was just misreading, because jet lag was definitely in effect.

Edit: Lemme see if I can find the article and see what I'm talking about. I coulda swore that's what I read though. I do remember that it said it wouldn't be doubly as fast per sé.

I try not to talk about technology with people like that. I had a person argue with me that overclocking requires lowering the voltage of the core to counter the heat. Needless to say it took him 4 time to pass his digital electronics class.
