I think the issue is the misplaced 70*

Yes.. i was adding to the aforementioned discussions about the whether or not the bottom left angle was a right-angle or not.

you guys are missing the fact that the bottom left angle (or the third angle of the large triangle, only must be 80 if the 70 degree label is in the correct spot (making x unsolvable??). if you apply the 70 label only to the angle adjacent to the third angle in the small triangle also containing 30 and x then you don't know what angle the bottom left (drawn to around 90) is but x in fact must be 30.

so back to the original question

Is x only solvable if the 70 applies to where the solution says (meaning it was drawn in the wrong spot)
