could not access the link. what little i know, the cas 2 is faster than cas 3(column access strobe, or something). for the guys in this forum to answer you, you better tell them the name of the motherboard, bios, and what you plan on using the computer for. type of processor, speed of cpu, video card, all that.

It's the CAS(Column Access Strobe) Latency. it's either 2 or 3 clock, 2 being the faster. (only a few percentage.. it's not that significant)

although they claim that the RAM is capable to run CAS2, but the SPD is set for CAS Lantency 3, which might indicate the RAM it self is CAS3 RAM,but it could be OC'ed to CAS2. You can't tell unless you have the exact l memory chip's model# and check with their respective manufacture's website.

most of the motherboard BIOS will let you bypass the SPD recommended setting and put it your own..

Basically if you want a little speed boost set it at cas2. If you experience system instabilites, or sudden problems in games/programs put it back to 3. 3 is the most stable, but 2 is slightly faster.
