Is this Ghosting?

Today at school we were working on the computers, dell lcds. So i got really bored so i was watching curser and i saw when i moved it, it would blur and a white trail would follow. It would happen if i moved it slowly and be worse if i moved it fast. Is this ghosting? I know all lcds have ghosting but is it this bad on all of them?

Yeah, that's definitely ghosting. On many new LCDs and on many of their color transitions, there's no perceptible trail.

A white cursor on a black background will leave a trail on a CRT as well - the light coming from the phosphors takes some time to decay.
