How is that confusing? He says it's a facsimile which is printed on glossy photo paper rather than copy paper. Besides, I imagine an original autographed photo would cost more than that anyhow.

its not fraud, it states that it is a copy. Not the sellers fault that the buyer does not have a large enough vocabulary or know how to use a dictionary.

Is your question whether it is a photo of a second real signed photo, or a photo of a ohoto with a real signature, or a photo of a photo with a fake signature?

"Facsimile" is one of those words people use when they don't want to say "fake". But clearly the bidder has a responsibility to look up what it means if (s)he doesn't know.

Reminds me of P.T. Barnum's famous "This way to the Egress!" sign he used in the circus.

This treads a line...I know what all the words mean and I'm still not sure what he's selling.

As moonbeam says--is it a photo of a photo? Is it a photocopy printed on glossy paper? Is it a scan printed on glossy paper? Is it a reprint of an actual photo? Is the "facsimilie" signed, or is it a facsimilie of a signed of photo?

A better question I want to know is: Is this seller the original photographer, and if not, does he have written permission from the original photographer to be selling reprints of his work?

Nonetheless, as an ebayer with half a brain, since I have so many unanswered questions, I'd either assume the worst if I were to bid, or just not bid at all.

I find small item auctions on EBAY funny... the cost of shipping the thing to you doubles the price. WTF ?!

Well, to me it sounds like it's a real photo with a fake signature. To other people it sounds like other things. So, there you go. ;)
