i was looking at evga's FX5900 Ultra and went to evga's website and found this from their where to buy section of distributors.

i would just like some comfirmation if its true or not

look at the core speed is it just a typo?

Core Clock:
500 MHz

website click here

dude. go the main page and read up on the half life 2 article ... that 5900ultra will look just about as sexy as ur grandma in her knickers

I'm pretty sure that's correct. If I recall correctly the evga 5900 u's are clocked higher than the nvidia reference design.

but alot of other websites say 450mhz core so i was just wondering if there were 2 versions of evga's fx5900 ultra

I never heard anything about them having two versions. It was my understanding that all of their 5900 ultra's had the 500mhz core clock, I could be wrong though.

Some users experienced problems with early eVGA 5900U's, and eVGA released an updated BIOS that reset their clocks to normal 5900U speeds. I'm not sure if that was a temporary manufacturing glitch or a permanent problem. Try e-mailing eVGA.

alright then thanxs for all ur comments

maybe ill just wait and buy the next card to come out the "BMF Geonumonics"

Specs:

Core Clock: 1000 MHz

RAMDACs: 800 MHz (DUAL)

Video Mem. Installed: 1GB (756-bit).0022ns DDR

Memory Data Rate: 1700 MHz

I guess i should just waste my money else where other then comps.

There are some things money can't buy.
For everything else, there's Mastercard.
