Evga 550w g2 will it be enough for...

I5 6500
R9 390 overclocked
1 500gb ssd
1 1tb hd
3 or 4 120mm case fans

What if I was to go for a i5 6600k overclocked?

I have a feeling it'll work but I don't want to cut it too close and have problems.

Thanks!!

It should handle it fine. But since there's not much overclock headroom on an R9 390 anyway, I'd suggest undervolting it instead, while keeping the stock clocks. This will result in lower power consumption and lower fan noise.

An overclocked i5-6600K increases power consumption only by a few dozen watts at most, compared to i5-6500.
