Is This Enough Power???

I am building a new system and would like to get the charcoal black Antec SX1030B case. It only comes with the 300W Antec PSU, however, and there is no SX1040B. I was wondering if you think this would be enough power for a 1gig T-Bird @ 1.33gig, a 40gig IBM HD, DVD-ROM drive, 12x10x32 CDRW, Sound Card, 512mb PC2100, and all the other common stuff. Or do I need to get a different PSU for it? Also, will the Palomino require more or less power? Thanks in advance.

SCOTTY, WE NEED MORE POWER!!!

Yea, 300W is plenty and that is what I have. Look at my rig, and I've got power to spare.

I'v been running a 1.33ghz T-Bird on the same 300watt PSU that the SX1030 comes with for months now, and before that it was a 1.2ghz T-Bird. I just orderd my Jet Black Antec SX1030.

"will the Palomino require more or less power?"

Less heat is what AMD was going for, in terms of more or less power i would say lower, but not by much because of all the new features of the core.

Just for your info, I emailed Antec asking about the possibility of a 1040B, and I was told that while it is not posted on the site, they will sell them. Try giving them a call if for some reason you feel that you really need 400W.

I got alot more stuff on my antec 300 watt then u do and its been like this for over a year, except upgraded from athlon 750 to 1.2
