I just bought Diablo 3 over the weekend, and logged into BattleNet for the first time in quite awhile yesterday. Today I get to work and noticed an email in my junkmail folder, and was wondering if it's legit?

"It has come to our attention that you are trying to sell your personal Diablo III account(s).

Diablo III , Blizzard Entertainment 2012"

I can't check some of the links since it's blocked at work, and calling Blizzard support has a 20-minute wait. I'm thinking it's junk and a fishing-type email, but I don't want my battlenet account to get locked either. I want to see if any others have gotten this email before, and if it's something I should follow up on when I get home.

Here's a hint - mouse over the link in the email - take a look at what your browser status bar says the link says versus what the email says. I bet they're quite different.

Yeah...quite different. Thanks for the tip.

I get a bunch from WoW, and I ignore them because I haven't played in years. I was just surprised I got this when I've only just now gotten Diablo 3.

how about ignore all e-mails from "blizzard" that asks you for any sort of information? They'll e-mail you ONLY about 2 things.

1) Stuff you can buy/have bought from them. (order receipts, etc)
2) Your account has been banned.

THAT'S IT.

They HAVE your name and secret question. With those 2 pieces of information anybody can hack your account.

#1: this.

#2: it says to click this link to log on and verify your account, why would that matter for this.
