Hey all. My dad got an offer through his work e-mail (which is supposed to be spam-free) about a company who is offering to pay you to do data entry, as long as you buy their $21 software. Is this a scam? I don't have the e-mail with me right now, so I can't tell you the rest of the details, but has anyone else heard of this? Thanks in advance.

It's a scam, either outright or through some multi-level-marketing scam where they only pay you to do "data entry" of the new people you sell this same $21 package to.

If you feel the need to even ask that question then it's probably a scam.

I would just go by this logic all the time and avoid asking the question.

so you can do it at home, sort of like a contractor? I dunno, I"m guessing. Sounds like a scam to me.

note: 99% of all thread titles that start of with: "is this a scam".....usually are :)
