I've got an older pro xbox thats works legit, I wanted to sell it for $125 and upgrade to a jasper. Someone called me today and offered me two RROD xboxs and $80 cash. What are my chances of fixing the xboxs and flipping them? Or should I hold out until someone gives me $125? Thanks
 
Well do you have any idea on how to fix an xbox or is there a warranty on either? Plus you might have better luck in the console gaming forum.
 
Well, that works out to taking a $45 hit, then you could re-sell the RROD ones for at least $22.50 each. Checking the obvious online auction spots, looks like dead ones go for ~$30.

It would be a hassle no doubt, but would work out in the end. If you totally parted them down (plastics, drives, etc, etc) you could probably end up with $50+ for each dead Xbox. Would take some time to sell it all through though. And you'd have to deal with stupid Paypal, and potentially stupid buyers who don't know how to install parts correctly, whatever.
