Have found a wierd crash every so often and found this morning i could replicate it by playing mpegs in Windows media player (also happens in premier and After effects sometimes) - after a few seconds the screens turn off computer seizes and the sound skips on the spot for a while. I then need to force a restart. I lowered my clock from 275x10 1:1 to 220x11 1:1 and then stock everything 200x11 1:1 loose timings and still the same result.
275x11 had been prime stable overnight and memtest error free.
Gfx is a passive XFX 6600 which is know is not the best but I do not game and Aqua runs fine at 275FSB scores GFX:4674 CPU:13321 and the heat spreader on the card is not hot to touch after the crash - case is open & airflow good.
has anybody seen this sorta crash before?
