I bought a evga 6800 ultra agp and received it today I originally bought a bfg 6800gt agp but the seller declined my order on ebay :[ but anyways...I just popped my 6800 in and its clocked at: core clock 324mhz!!!! and mem clock 1.10ghz (thank god). I have sufficient power, a 500watt psu with 34amps on the 12v. So it couldnt be my psu could it? Also i overclocked my p4 2.66 to 3.20 could that be draining the power? anyways if anyone has any advice please respont ASAP!:Q

those are basically correct the standard coreclock for the cards on newegg is 400mhz which varies i would assume.

that may jus be the 2D speed.

the GT cards are 350 for 2D/3D, but the Ultras are clocked down (usually to 350, but i guess the manufacturer can decide where) in 2D mode, and when you start a 3D app they speed up.

download rthdribl (google it)

and run it (it runs in a window) and then check the speed of the card

my 6800 ultra is still underclocked....i ran rthdribl but it still stuck at the same clock speed(viewed through coolbits). I overclocked it too 400/1100 what its supposed to be at!!! and ran half life2 4xaa 8xaf it ran choppy 30-45 fps for the 1st ten minutes then raised to 60-80 fps after that however I know this is a common problem when overclocking but its run at the speeds its supposed to be at! It is a EVGA 6800ultra limited edition agp(not ultra extreme). I dunno if many of you have heard about this card but I didnt really either, its not listed on evga's site. Should I sign up for their warranty and use that to replace it, because maybe they will give me an ultra extreme because they no longer make mine? :] please respond in dying here waiting :[

P.S- When run coolbits or aquamark it always shows the gpu as a 6800 not 6800 ultra is this common for others?

I've seen some "limited edition" 6800ultra cards that had 512mb ram. How much does yours have? Also, I'd email evga and ask them what kind of card you have and what specs it's supposed to have.

Check the card for any markings, too. Does it say "evga 6800 ultra limited edition" on the card itself?

You have the eVGA "Limited Edition" 6800. This card was sold briefly by eVGA and I have one.

These were supposedly 6800Ultra cards that were not stable above 80C under load and a special bios was put out by eVGA which ran these cards 325core 1100 mem.

There is a huge thread on these cards in this Forum. All of us that bought one flashed our bios's with 1.4v (some tried 1.5v) 400mHz core / 1100MHz mem eVGA bios's. Some people got working Ultra's, some had problems and either warrantied them, or were successful.

Also, you will be offered a 6800GT as warranty, and you might have to add some cash
Any questions? :)

Yup, you got it. Someone removed the factory stickers that covered up the Ultra. However my box still says 6800 Ultra in many places, in some of the smaller text on the box.
