Someday I will become 100% ambidextrous!
Does anyone else do this?
Are most other people pretty proficient with their non dominant hand? My left hand totally sucks...
The great, eccentric pianist Glen Gould once was staying at hotel where they had a piano in the restaurant room. The piano was played during dinners by a jazz player. Gould couldn't sleep and decided to come downstairs and practice a little. So he gets into the dark restaurant room and starts playing. The resident jazz players hear the music and goes to see who's playing, because obviously he never listened to anybody nearly that good. He enters the room and sits down listening to the genius.
After a good 30 minutes Gould stops playing and the jazz player, all excited, starts shouting:
"I never heard anything like that! Your
left hand is almost as good as your right!!"
Gould smiled and replied: "That, my friend, is because I am
lefty."
So.. yeah, some people
are pretty proficient with their non-dominant hand.
