Mogwai is worth $100 live, no question. Seen them four times and they just get better everytime. That being said, the girlfriend and I are gonna skip out on seeing them at Curiosa, and instead drive down to Portland to see them instead (too bad they're playing with the rapture and cursive though, nothing worse then dance punk nerds and crybaby emo kiddies).

cursive are a hell of a lot better than mogwai, i'll tell you that. if you're gonna listen to impressionistic rock, cut the crap and listen to a real band: sigur ros. the rapture suck though, i'm with you on that.

I like Sigur Ros and many other bands, but to me what Sigur Ros and Mogwai do are two very different things. Mogwai is more of an all out guitar attack where as Sigur Ros is more of a wall of sound. As far as Cursive being better, I'll repsectfully disagree. I find everything Sadle Creek puts out is overrated pretensious crap.

Yup, people have got in the habit of lumping Sigur Ros, Mogwai, Godspeed and the gang all together (and there are plenty similarities) but each one really does their own thing.
