Is this computer case any good?

Do you think the case is a good price with the 300watt deer power supply?
I know the Lian cases are nice but so expersive 🙁 Wish i could get one hehe.

Deers are crap, a 300 watter woult be good for anything over maybe 1.2 GHz.

Get an antec 1030 or something with a enermax or sparkle PSU.

I don't think this is a good case.

1. You will need to put it on your desk to use that motherboard fall-out plate, and it's inconvenient because it's a huge case.
2. It has tiny holes on the front, so the cooling fan will have a hard time pulling any air in.
3. The power supply kind of sucks, especially if you have an Athlon with a lot of devices connected (resulting in high power requirements).
4. The placement of the 2 rear cooling fans sucks. They are very high, not next to the CPU, so they won't be able to take out the hot air that comes out of the CPU's cooling fan.

Finally, that does not seem like a good place to buy stuff from (5 out of 7 rating):
Not the best place

We bought six of the midtower versions of this case for work. They are solid cases with full strength materials, but the construction quality leaves a bit to be desired (panels don't line up that well, drives look a little crooked from the front even after trying to make them straight.) Overall, about a "C" grade of all the cases I've seen.

Aopen, Inwin, and Enlight are all very nice in my experience (seen about 2 to 3 of each brand.)

The link snowpunk gave looks pretty nice and a good price too...

that case is pure trash...it's ugly and of poor construction...i noticed a lot of people buyin and modding them...cuz they're cheap probably.

anyway, u can get cases that are really nice for non-lian li prices...mainly because they're not aluminum...but u can grab some cheaper aluminum cases as well..personally, the next case i ever buy is gonna have multimedia ports in the front, so that i can port my sound, usb, etc to the front of the case...lian li does have one such case now that i think about it.

also, who likes a white computer case nowadays?

What you should get is an Antec SX830 (or 840) or SX1030 (or 1040). They are much more solidly built and well designed than the Lian Li even! I personally was disappoined about how flimsy the Lian Li feels.

My roomate has the mid-tower version of this case and I must say that the cooling on it sucks. He had so many problems with heat causing instability that he had to keep the side open and clip his desk fan to the side so that it was always blowing cool air in (Even in the middle of the winter)! Other than that it's easy enought to get into and doesn't look too bad. If you think heat won't be a big problem, then maybe you should consider it. Otherwise, skip it.
