Is this chip (3570K) performing optimally? New Rig.

Hello There,

I recently built a new comp & have been overclocking with Intel Burn Test + CPUZ & HWMonitor.

I built a 3570K + Hyper EVO 212 + GB Z77-D3H + FD R4 w/ XTRA 140mm R2 at front w/ Top HDD Cage Removed+ OC GB 660ti WF2 + Antec 620W HCGP M

Well it was a lot easier than imagined. Bumped the voltage to 1.200v started at 4.5GHZ w/ Multiplier Bump, and worked volts down.

Finally worked my way to 4.4 @ 1.116v Stable with MAX, 20 Passes.

Knocked Voltage down further. 4.4ghz @ 1.090v Stable with MAX, 20 Passes
Ran Small Ftt Prime 95 Overnight & Stable after 18 HRS.
Just haven't vaildated via CPUZ yet

Temps are Sitting at 31c Idle, 40c Start Up & Max 62c IBT.

My last chip was a i7 920 & was a poor overclocker. This just all seems to be a bit too good to be true & too easy and I would like to know if this seems like an optimal result. Is 4.4GHZ at these stats ok for longterm use? Should I push it further, or am I overlooking something & it seems ok, but is not.

Thanks Heaps.

Looks like below-average voltage for those clocks, but it really is that easy. 3570K is an awesome chip, and it makes you wonder why Intel didn't release a 4.2 or 4.4ghz chip because they're easily capable of those clocks.

Ok, great, thanks. Missed Sandy so this is quite different to QPI etc.
Would trying for a 4.5ghz everyday be ok for 3-4 yr use?

Also what temps do more seasoned OC'ers recommend for 3-4 yr use?
Idle, & Load. Your help is greatly appreciated.

4.2 or 4.4 GHz would require a TDP spec of at least 120W and a substantially different IHS situation (soldered) combined with a cooling solution that was way better than their stock HSFs.

4.2-4.4 is cake for us enthusiasts but we invest how much time, money and effort into delidding and expensive TIMs like Liquid Ultra, not to mention the expense of $50-$100 heatsinks.

Ok so I live in Australia - and summer is harsh. Came home after the advice and feeling p0retty good about my chip so foolishly started to play with settings such as PLL and TDP.
Reverted back to original config getting no Windows Errors or BSOD anymore
and running IBT at 20 passes at MAX again.

Voltage has settled at 1.120V
Temps are hovering at 75c with Load

Looking at 38c Idle & a Peak of 81c with 32c Ambient Room Temp Stable.
(Should have put some money into getting aircon. lol🙄

Should I still be ok considering circumstances and settings?

Perfectly fine. Remember Tjmax is 105C as well.

Those temps you got is around what a 3570K with the stock cooler and stock clocks will give.
