Depends ... If the card works fine, then not only is it worth it, its a great deal... if however like a LOT of Newegg open-box video cards you end getting somone else's failed overclocking experiment its a bad one!
I'd say go for it because at least you know Newegg will let you return it if theres a problem.. just be sure to test it heavily as soon as you get it.
Edit: Note you only have 15 days after purchase to return open-box products from Newegg.
Let me put it to you this way ... these exact cards are still getting around $100 used on FS/FT here on AT & perform about on par with a 7600GT.
Its worth noting however that the same card brand-new is only $125 & the cheapest decent 7600GT which is just as fast, has more 3d features, is quieter, cooler & uses less power goes for $139 w/a $20 MIR making it the best choice in the price range IMO.
Thats a great deal for a X850XT. But like Captante said there is some risk with Newegg "open box" items. If it works SWEET!!! if it doesn't then you get to ship back to newegg for a refund and your only out a little bit of time.
Get the x850xt, its still faster than the 7600gt. Its closer to the 7800gt actually. If you get one of those 7600gt's you will have to mess around with rebates, unless that doesnt bother you.
I wouldn't trust it, unless you're willing to go through ATI for a replacement if it's bad (about 1 month wait). You still have to pay shipping, seems like a lot of work for not a lot of benefit. I did open box RAM once, wasn't a happy experience.
