There are shiny, flesh-colored blemishes about my abdomen. There's no redness or pain, but there is a mild irritation in the general area not directly on the site.

Could it be the beginning of a pustule? I hope I don't die or give it to anyone.

Those aren't basal cells. Basal cells are raised pearly lesions with capillaries. The are almost always on sun exposed areas like the face, ears, and back. Lower abd/groin would be a very unusual place to get them... and they are usually a cancer of the elderly.
