Starting off, the classic bent back corner.
Yep, that's Scotch tape.
Plus a couple stickers for good measure.
A little water damage towards the back (hard to see in the photo).
Timeline that comes with the book, with a little barbecue sauce on the side.
A booklet that comes with it. Just a few spots of candle wax.
But hey, at least the CD is perfect.

Cost me $50 on bn.com, which is about $40 less than at the bookstore. They're still selling used copies for the same price though, so I probably just got a bum one :( Think it's worth returning it? The most I'd get selling this textbook back at the end of the year is $40, and I could maybe get something for this particular copy. Not sure though. They didn't even look inside my books last time, but the damage is pretty obvious on this one.

you still made out with cheaper books... be glad... cause in my day (95-99), the Internet was just getting started and we only had bookstores.

Why thank you for giving me some perspective. I'm suddenly very happy that I got a lousy book
