Is this BF-6 dead?

I was having problems with a friend's computer, based on an Abit BF-6, Enlite 7237, blah blah blah.... When I hit the power button, the fans would turn on, the hard drive would spin up, but the machine wouldn't boot up. (The light on the monitor stayed amber). I tried every component (besides the mobo) in another computer, and they're all fine. I RMAed the board, and got another one, and it's doing the same thing. I can't believe I got another bad one, so it must surely be something else. It still doesn't boot up, and all the fans and etc. are spinning. I've cleared the CMOS, tried hooking it up outside of the case.... Any ideas?

Try replacing the Hardrive cable with the new one. probably a bad Power supply.

did u try all the other components on the same board? or was it a different m/b upon which u tested the components? your ram might not be compatible.
