Is this bad?

I just installed my new VisionTek HD3850 and it was running 40-50c idle and almost 70c LOAD. So I downloaded Rivatuner and put it to 75% my tempatures went down to 33c idle and 45c load1?!

why did my gpu come witht he fan spinning at less then 10% and I don't know how to change it other then riva tuner! help

the manufacturer normally put the fan on low so that it creates less noise. 70C is not a high temperature for graphic cards.

Yes, I know... but 70c is also not low nor good. I just want to know if 50% fan speed is really bad, I don't want to short-out or fry/break my GPU cooler... I'm running it @ 50% right now and it seems nice and steady... I don't care about noise at all, it helps me sleep at night 🙂 *I use to work night shift in factorys 😛*

also can I change my automatic fan speed without using 3rd party programs? I heard I had to change voltages but I won't touch that crap on a new card.

btw is this artifacting?

it wasnt doing this last night, was doing this at 54c, so i doubt its artifacting... no other games do this.. im thinking its a missing model or something, maybe a glitch or error. Steam games aren't known for their reliability anyways.
