is this Asbestos (pic)

Looks like fiberglass or maybe cellulose (sp?)
How old is the house? If it's less than 20 years or so you don't need to worry about asbestos.

It looks like blown in fiberglass insulation. How old is the house or structure? Asbestos hasn't been used for decades and I don't recall it ever being blown in.

If you require ultimate peace of mind you can put a small amount in a zip lock bag and have it tested. It isn't that expensive.

Do a search and send in a sample. The EPA should have a listing.

Try burning some and see what residue is left. Asbestos wont burn.

Most of the cheap blown in insulation is pulverized newspaper.

Old sprayed on ceilings can be asbestos laden.

Hope this helps 🙂

fiberglass eh? might as well wear a hazmat suit, dang.

yeah it aint gonna be confortable for him.... duct tape those pants legs, waist line and sleeves!
and SHOWER AFTER!!!!!!

This is not fun, but if you get covered with the itchies, an ice cold shower scrubbing lightly with a wash cloth works.

The cold water causes the pores to squeeze shut, forcing the fiberglass out. Not 100% fix. Do not take a hot shower.
