It looks to have only an analog input.
Get one with DVI-D, like the Sony SDM-X82/B, $499 right now at newegg.
As of seeing that monitor in action with a DVI, the faint shimmer is the ONLY thing I still have against LCD monitors. Using the DVI input, it has no crawlies. With the HD-15, it has crawlies like the monitor I am using right now (15" Micron w/ only HD-15).

Newegg just has "15-pin mini D-SUB to 15-pin mini D-SUB"
The manual says analog input only, though shows a diagram w/ what looks like a a DVI .
I don't know about display quality specifically for this monitor, though I know NECs do look pretty good, just that with the HD 15 input, you'll likely have crawlies (when the signal isn't amazingly good, on CRTs you get ever-so-slight fuzziness...on LCDs, since it's going back to digital, you get one pixel changing on either side of the other, constantly doing so, so it looks like little 1-pixel high worms are crawling across the screen).
Aside from the crawlies, the NEC monitors similar to that one (in appearance, not sure model number) I've seen (17" and 18") look just as good as the said Sony, aside from what I've mentioned using the normal input.

Edit: spelling, and sorry for not having any flow to the message, I have a roux going, so am being VERY quick about this ;)

The Detailed Specs on the NEC website say it has DVI-D. The response time doesn't seem bad (30 ms). You'll probably see a little bit of ghosting in high action games but for everyday use it'd probably be fine.

If it does, then absolutely. The pics don't show a cable, the main description doesn't have it, and the manual doesn't cover much in detail (and looks like someone translated it rather than began in english, even though there isn't much broken). If you can confirm that it does, go for it.

ask newegg to be sure their customer service should be good enough to help you confirm it.
