I'll let the issue go...just wanted to point out that I was merely stating that she is an African American and asked Genex87 a legitimate question...until Stunt came along and lashed out at me with a personal attack.

So, back on topic, yes, this is another example of right-wing hypocricy, op.

You were merely trolling RobCur, so just run along...you have already been banned once, don't make it a second :p

Way to drag RightisWrong's legitimate thread through the mud with your hate.

Heh, funny, funny.

Wasn't there a guy not too long ago who was attempting to apply for affirmative action subsidies on account of him being African-American? Of course, he was white.

I don't give a damn about Heinz, just like I don't give a damn about any of the previous potential first ladies. Or any previous first ladies for that matter, and all their hey-look-at-me-I-exist education and drug "initiatives".

Seems there are two different sets of laws in your world of apartheid, right? One that applies to whites; the other for the lawless, crude, drunk African Americans?

It looks like "Whitelaw" is his last name. I think you just pwned yourself.

Now, my question is, weren't there a bunch of righties spewing how terrible it would be if Kerry was elected because of HIS WIFE'S beliefs? What was her nickname......Teresa the Terrible?
Had Kerry won the Presidency, Theresa would have become first lady...while not an official government position, elected or appointed, the first lady has developed an increasing political role over the years...Theresa, and her erratic behavior, became fair game and easy pickings for the Republican campaign machine.

Mrs. Roberts, on the other hand, will have no official or unofficial role with her husband on the Supreme Court...furthermore, the expectation of any Supreme Court justice is that he or she will put aside her personal political beliefs in favor of loyally and faithfully interpreting the Constitution...there are several Supreme Court judges who, although labeled conservative, have ruled against issues that the right typicall champions, abortion being one of those issues.

So Mrs. Roberts political activism becomes irrelevant, and still a long shot from Theresa "foot in her mouth" Kerry.

Grasping at straws once again, but not surprising considering your avatar name.

"My wife has opinions on things that may or may not conform with mine, and I think most couples are in that situation," Santorum, a conservative who is third among Senate Republican leaders and an outspoken abortion opponent, told NBC's "Today" show.

yes, this coming from a man how took his stilborn son fromt he hospital home, and took family pictures with it, an man how claims to hold traditional american family values, yet has been divorced twice?, who says he is a christian, yet makes every attempt to bash gays, even though being a christian means practicing tolerance......... a true du$Hbag

Senators: Mrs. Roberts' Work Not Relevant

WASHINGTON - Free legal work that Supreme Court nominee John Roberts' wife does for an anti-abortion group should not be a factor in his confirmation, a Senate Republican leader said Monday, following up similar comments by Democrat Edward M. Kennedy.

Sen. Rick Santorum (news, bio, voting record), R-Pa., said Jane Roberts' work for Feminists for Life is irrelevant to the process and to how her husband might decide cases if seated on the high court.

"My wife has opinions on things that may or may not conform with mine, and I think most couples are in that situation," Santorum, a conservative who is third among Senate Republican leaders and an outspoken abortion opponent, told NBC's "Today" show.

"And so I don't think your wife's activities should have any impact on what a judge is going to do," he added. "I certainly would think that he would tell you they don't, nor should they. It's the facts of a case and the law of a case."

.....

Now, my question is, weren't there a bunch of righties spewing how terrible it would be if Kerry was elected because of HIS WIFE'S beliefs? What was her nickname......Teresa the Terrible?

unless you can identify individuals now against such things previously saying those sorts of statements, its pointless.

So if your wife or girlfiend kills someone we will just throw you in jail!

Sounds silly doesnt it.

Lots of women have differing opinions from their husbands. Nancy Reagan saw an astrologist, but it did not stop her husband from being a tough minded pro defense conservative.

Many husbands and wives have differing political views.

Actually this is a good example of the left grabbing at straws.

I think the problem was Mrs. Heinz was to be a public front for the US (first lady), where as Robert's wife has really no effect (or should have no neffect) on how his judicial affairs
