Was playing a game and the game froze and locked up for maybe 1 minute then it closed the game without notice and then it said it cant render 3d anymore when i tried to reopen the game. My temperatures seem fine and i had my card oc'd but changed default cooling so I didn't think it was a big deal. if anyone knows anything like this let me know what the cause of it could be. i'm using 71.xx drivers from nvidia becuase of an issue with nv4disp on the 77xx series.

What is yoru computer, what heatsinks do you have on yoru GPU and CPU, what game was it, and what graphics settings were you playing at?

athlon 64 3400+, 1gb corsair ram.

i have the vantec iceberq 5 gpu cooler and the heatsinks for the ram it came with. i have a thermal take venus 12 for my cpu. was playing world of warcraft

Does WoW work when you reboot? Has the computer done anything similar on any other game?

Try running Prime95 Small FFTs torture test for a few hours to make sure the CPU isnt' overheating, and then rthdribl to make sure the graphics card isn't. If neither of those get any errors, you might want to try running one of the 3dmark tests.
