So a guy at Sweetwater.com emailed me back a price on something and threw this in..

"Since you have little taste for the wrong sode of the cow, $935 shipped, I have several in stock"

??? I looked it up on Google and did not find anything quickly so I figured Id ask here.

Was I insulted or what? I have his name and extension as well so if it is an insult you can bet I will be giving him a call.

Has to be a guy in a foreign country trying to use an American idiom. I can't think of anything even close to that, though. Did you give him a reason to insult you? I wouldn't expect to be insulted by a company I'm buying a $935 item from.

Hm, maybe it means you're a guy that knows his stuff. "Little Taste" = doesnt like "wrong side" = cheap stuff / crap

I think he was saying something to the effect of "I'll cut the bullshit and give you a price?" It's definitely a saying I've never heard though.

I was asking for a quote on an Benchmark DAC1 , so this would make sence as well.

I have heard of miliking the wrong side of the cow (doing it the wrong way), but that doesn't really make sense either...

Oh, that one makes sense. Cows are very particular about which side they get milked from, and get really upset when you try to do it from the wrong side.

It's a fvcked up way of using the wrong side of the cow idiom.

He's saying "I understand you don't want to be on the wrong side of the cow" (in an untenable, unworkable position) So he's offering you a deal which he feels will put you on the "right side of the cow.

It's a very poor understanding of how the phrase is supposed to be used.
