is this an athlon xp?

it is an amd it says on the top

it is green and is supposed to be an athlon xp but boots up in motherboard as 1100mhz athlon
i think it is because of motherboard which is a shuttle ak12 i think its just an athlon/duron board i dont think it supports athlon xp's
if you can tell me that the processor is indeed an athlon xp i would be grateful

set the fsb to 133mhz and it will boot at correct speed if you havnt already

If your motherboard indeed "only supports durons/athlons" then the board probably does not support the 133MHz FSB the 1700+ was designed to run on. You might be able to overclock it to 133MHz, otherwise you need a new mobo to get what you paid for from this chip.
