I bought an Asus 24" LED LCD monitor today and, this being my first LED backlit display, I was curious how much bleed is considered normal.
I tried to get a picture but I couldn't get anything that made it clear, so I'll try to describe it. First there's an extremely bright blue bar across the bottom, which I guess is normal, and that spreads at least an inch and a half up the screen all the way across. The left and right bottom corners also have bright blue dots in them, from which light fans out at least 2 inches. Along the right side is the most amount of bleed, starting at the bottom corners at around 1 inch out, then increasing as it gets toward the middle where it's at least 3 inches, then receding as it reaches the top left corner.
Thanks for any help. I want to make sure I get this returned in time if this is not normal.
Also, I've tried many brightness/contrast settings. They seem to have little effect. And something else I've noticed is that the bottom half of the screen is much brighter than the top half, despite viewing angle.
edit: Best picture I can get, taken at ISO800 to show all the light bleeding through a fullscreen black image.
