Discussion about the Chai Vang (hunter who killed 6).

Vang, in his statement admits he shot people who were unarmed and shot people in the back.

The man chased down people and shot them in the back. It doesn't matter what you think they are to you, that is not acting in the interests or self-defense or self preservation. The man was acting in anger, killed innocent people, and will pay for the crime.

Amazing how some of you call these men innocent. They weren't innocent.

Then a few posts later...

And running them down, maybe he thought they were going to get a weapon, in which case it would be self defense. Now they can tell their storys in the afterlife, cause he ushered those clowns out of this life.

and finally...

You can moan and groan, cry and complain. Those men started some stuff with that boy and he ended it. He was walking away. Nothing else needed to be said or done. But like a bunch of redneck white boys, they thought they could scare the little asian guy. Well now they are taking a dirt nap. Its 2005 and folks ain't taking no more of the bully sh!t. Send those poor bastards some roses. Cause they got what they were looking for. They should have just let the man go and they couldn't that, so they paid for it with their lives. Now cry them a F'in river.

There is also a fair amount of racism in that thread. Above with the redneck white boys comment, and a few others made at Vang (asians).

I'm pretty sure, this isn't acceptable, but that's not my call. So...?

While not very tasteful, it generally seems to be allowed. I didn't see any outright racism in what you posted. I didn't read the thread.

I think this isn't so much racism but just a very heated and tender topic. I mean one could argue that the people were wrong for provocing the guy however the "greater (IMO)" wrong lies in the fact that he came and killed them.

No bans or vacations should be given out but i do think that a strict warning should be posted in that thread to at least respect the dead (and not say that they deserved it no matter how you feel).

Don't know about racism, certainly a lack of civility & an abundance of bigotry & Monday Morning quarterbacking.

I don't see anything wrong with his statements. I don't agree with them but I don't find them to be offensive, or at least any more offensive than anything else I've seen. I think you're being way too sensitive.

Thanks for the replies, I'm not looking to get someone banned or anything. I'm just asking what's acceptable.

I see the thread got locked, that's probably best.

Tea Bag, this was in ATOT, not P&N.

JJones, way too sensitive would be calling for his head, I just wanted to know where the line is.
